8 Week Mindful Eating Course - Spaces Available

Commencing Monday 20th January 2020 to Monday 8th March 2020

from 10am to 12pm

The Hamblin Centre, Bosham, PO18 8PJ

This 8 week Mindful Eating Course will enable you to experience and integrate a mindful eating practice into your everyday life in a relaxed and supportive environment.  We will draw on mindfulness techniques and mindful eating practices to help you re-engage with your innate wisdom that your body holds to develop a healthy relationship with food.

We live in a culture that is both diet and weight obsessed and it can become confusing to know which way to turn and which advice to take.  This course will give you the confidence to respond to your body's natural cues, enabling a more sustainable and (more importantly) more enjoyable way of managing your weight and lifestyle.

Benefits of Mindful Eating include:-

  • Cultivate a healthy relationship with food and eating
  • Reduces episodes of over-eating, binge-eating and emotional eating
  • Sustain and manage a balanced weight
  • Make healthy changes to eating habits and behaviours
  • Increased well-being
  • Weight loss naturally
  • Reduced stress and anxiety

How does this work?

This approach encourages you to develop strategies and techniques that you can utilise for the rest of your life, including how to:-

  • Identify triggers and trigger foods and learn how to "respond" to them rather than "react" to them
  • Incorporate mindfulness meditation into your everyday life
  • Experience the full pleasure and taste of food without over-eating
  • Explore and release guilt and the struggle often associated with eating
  • Develop tools which can enable you to make informed, balanced and healthy, sustainable choices that can take you through the rest of your life
  • Integrate a mindful eating practice into your everyday lifestyle

No previous mindfulness experience is necessary.
